Best bars in GOA - WigWam Bohemian Jungle Resort in North Goa
Best Bars Let’s face it, apart from golden sunsets, and beautiful beaches, when people come to Goa, one of the perks is the cheap price of alcohol compared to the rest of India! It really is the party capital of India, and boasts great club nights across the State, however if you don’t want a night of dancing, but still want a blurry night of fun, check out some of our favourite bars across the North. Amber Cocktail Bar – Morjim THE perfect spot for sunset drinks and a catch up with friends. Set in a stylish, yet rustic style bar on the beach, you can sit on a swing at the bar, or on their rooftop, watching the sun go down, and feel the vibes go up! Visit their insta page, to see what events are happening, and enjoy some seriously yummy cocktails, while listening to some funky tunes in one of the coolest bars in North Goa! Gin Joint – Mandrem Set on the hillside, above one of our favourite restaurants (Verandah), this speak-easy style Gin Bar will leave your mind blown… and probably a little fuzzy! A limited selection of carefully curated cocktails will Wow your tastebuds, whether you choose fragrant lavender, or punchy pickled mango! The atmosphere is second to none, with tasteful decorations, a great playlist and a great selection of food if you’re feeling peckish Surf Club – Arambol One of the oldest and most notorious bars in North Goa, this place was where the Surfers, Hippies and Rockers used to hang out in the 90’s, while playing pool and listening to rock’n’roll. Although the owners have changed hands, the vibe is still great, and it’s a great place to grab a beer, listen to some good music and catch up with mates over a game of pool. Darlings – Chapora This old school bar is one of the best places to go for a fun fuelled weekend. This packed bar spills out onto the street at weekends, with a big crowd hanging out and listening to music in their front bar, and old schoolers chilling in the back with a flow of drinks, and competition around the pool table.Their bar boasts a great selection of cocktails, with loads of different homemade tinctures, floating around in jars behind the bar. Speak to Razz, the bar owner for specialities! Paulos – Chapora Reminiscent of old Amsterdam bars, this old school rock’n’roll bar is alive with all of your favourite rock stars staring down at you from pictures and murals on the walls. The playlist fits the vibe, as does the crowd. You can hang out here, and strike up a conversation with some of Goa’s old hippies and locals, and chat over a beer with stories of then and now. It’s a no thrills bar, with cheap drinks, and no food, but you’re allowed to bring in food from some of the great late night eateries down the street. Joseph Bar – Panjim Tucked away in the Old Latin quarters of Goa’s capital, this is a must visit spot if you’re in the city! A tiny little hole in the wall, in the area of Fountainhas, which takes you back about 20 years. With only about 15 seats, this cosy taverna is full of character, and if you manage to snag one of the seats, count yourself lucky. Settle in to try some of Goa’s best local brews and Urrak (Feni’s milder brother). Treat yourself to some local Goan snacks – but come early, as they usually finish by sunset! C’est La Vie – Siolim This little spot is another great one to come for sunset views, and yummy drinks! Its cute blue and white Mediterranean features are very inviting, and its stunning setting over the chapora river will keep you intoxicated (in more ways than one!) Drink a lovely selection of cocktails, with an inviting breeze, and sweet selection snacks. A great stop off spot, before a night out on your way from Mandrem to Anjuna! Takoba – Anjuna One word – TEQUILAAA! This place has a great selection of, you guessed it… tequila cocktails! Along side their Mexican menu of tacos and more, try shot after shot of tequila, and amazing types of tequila cocktails… Tequila espresso martini? YES PLEASE! Check out the events and live music nights they hold here too!
