Best Beach Restaurants in North Goa

Two of our favourite things to do in Goa? Relax at the beach, and EAT! There are beach shacks a plenty, and most of them offer cheap food, some are hidden gems, some are risks, and most of them offer a similar menu. We’ve picked out some of our favourite restaurants on the beach, which serve great food and are a bit different! Whether you want a cheap meal, a fancy dining experience, a relaxing view while you work from “home”, or somewhere you can have a dance after you eat – we have you covered. From North to South we’ve got…

Relax Inn – Arambol

This is a well known spot amongst long time Goa Folks. An unexpected Italian restaurant, hidden away amongst other beach shacks in bustling Arambol. They serve fantastic pasta, which gets people coming back again and again (and we’re talking for years, not days!) Fresh, handmade pasta is served at a cheap price, and we find no faults! Be sure to try the seafood pasta if you want some fresh fish!

Dunes – Mandrem

Dunes is the favourite of many, situated on shanti Mandrem Beach, you can come and enjoy great food with a great view. If you’re here for long enough, it will quickly become a meeting spot, where you’ll see familiar faces, and you’ll come back time and time again. Reasonably priced, and with great internet, it has become a great spot for people to work from, or just come and hang out. They have great food, consistent and clean, and happy and helpful staff. There’s something for everyone, whether you want an Indian curry, western cuisine, or a big piece of fresh fish, you can guarantee it will be good!

Prana Cafe – Ashwem

Right in front of Ashwem beach, lies this cool surf spot, and fantastic restaurant. They serve exciting drinks, and a beautifully curated menu. They cater well for vegans or meat eaters alike, you can indulge in a burger, or health out with a salad or smoothie bowl, and they serve great coffee! With a mid-price range, the ambience and artistry of the place is worth every penny. Look out for events they do, whether it is a music meetup, art launch, or sustainable market, you’ve got so much more than beach and restaurant! Look out for their new spot opening up on Mandrem Beach next year!

Anahata – Ashwem

Although the food here has always been great, their new menu has improved even more! With different tastes of fusion food, combining the east and the west, the tastes are impeccable. Whether you want to eat while hanging out under a straw lined bed on the beach, or sit at a table and listen to live music while you dine, we highly recommend visiting this spot for a nicer beach experience.

La Plage – Ashwem

La Plage is a French Restaurant situated between Morjim and Ashwem beach. They serve fantastic fish options, and it’s a great spot for a friendly catch up, or romantic date night! It’s beautifully furnished, and has interesting art pieces hanging throughout. By day, it’s a sweet beach hangout, and you can eat a delicious lunch, and then laze on the beds outside, and by night, the candle lit ambience turns it into a fancy and romantic dinner spot. It’s on the more expensive side of Goa restaurants, but is definitely worth a visit, if you’re in North Goa!

Burger Factory – Morjim

This popular place does exactly what it says on the tin – BURGERS! With loads of great options, their Morjim branch is situated on the beautiful Morjim beach. It offers a kickass bar and a beautiful sunset to go with it. An old wooden door frame leads out to the beach, there are swings at tables, a canopy of baskets over the bar and lights under books hanging from trees. The friendly staff along with the adorable pets add to the warmth of the place, making Burger Factory a must-visit on any day.

Pisco by the Beach – Anjuna

What was once the heart of Anjuna’s Wednesday market, where in Goas Prime, bands would rock the stage, now lies this new and extraordinary restaurant. Quite the difference from what it once was, this fancy bar and restaurant shows the change in Goa’s times, but we love both just as much! Lie on a built in rope hammock, whilst watching the sunset, with drink in hand, and see the tide rise beneath you! Exceptional service, and delicious food gives this place an edge, while it’s well stocked bar and gorgeous interiors will keep you happy, whichever direction you’re looking!
